As a member of a project team, quite often the tangible documents you generate are a result of collaboration with others on the project team as well as other individuals internal and external to the organization.

One easy way to show your appreciation for the contributions of your colleagues and others, is to give them credit in the document you produce. Include a cover page for your document, such as on wireframes, personas, usability study reports, etc. Common items you might find on the cover page are the project name, title of the document, document date, and document version number. Now for the opportunity to build rapport and support, next include a section on the cover page noted as “Contributions by” and list of all the contributors in the order of they helped. In other words, append each new person’s name to the end, even if it’s a Senior Vice President or CEO. Finally, you can add your name with the notation of “Prepared by.”

Here is an example:

Your colleagues might not mention anything, but I would guess that they will appreciated it (if they agree with the content of the document).
